Budget 2024/2025 outlines significant investments aimed at supporting Indigenous communities across Canada. Here's a comprehensive summary of the new funding allocations proposed:

Support for Indigenous Youth and Education:
An additional $12.5 million over two years to support the Indigenous Youth Roots organization.
$649.4 million over two years to enhance elementary and secondary education on reserves.
$545.1 million over three years for K-12 infrastructure improvement.
$242.7 million over three years to enhance access to post-secondary education through the Post-Secondary 

Student Support Program
$5.2 million over two years to support the Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning in the Northwest Territories.

Community and Family Services:
$1.8 billion over 11 years to support communities under the Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth, and families.
$167.5 million over two years to ensure Inuit children access necessary services.

Language and Cultural Support:
$225 million over five years for Indigenous languages programs.
$65 million over five years to support the Indigenous Screen Office.

Urban Indigenous Support:
$60 million over two years to support Friendship Centres providing various community services.

Indigenous Self-Determination and Economic Development:
$96.4 million over two years for advancing rights-based discussions and treaties.
$275 million over two years for Indigenous Governance and Capacity programs.
$12.6 million over two years for advancing a New Fiscal Relationship with First Nations.
Up to $5 billion in loan guarantees under the new Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program.
$350 million over five years to support Indigenous Financial Institutions and economic opportunities.

Health and Safety:
$2 billion over ten years for a distinctions-based Indigenous Health Equity Fund.
$630.2 million over two years for Indigenous mental health services.
$167.6 million over five years to combat anti-Indigenous racism in health care.
$23.2 million for Nutrition North Canada and $101.1 million for supporting food security initiatives.

Justice and Policing:
$87 million over five years for Indigenous justice programming.
$267.5 million over five years for the First Nations and Inuit Policing Program.
