Jacob Blum’s career is a testament to his ability to drive impactful change and foster innovation within the public and private sectors. He began at SAP Canada as the National Public Sector Strategist and Solution Architect, where he laid a strong foundation in strategic planning and public sector modernization. As an Account Executive, he managed major accounts such as the City of Mississauga, the Ontario Real Estate Corporation, and Canada Post’s Global ePost initiative. Jay later transitioned to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as Vice President, leading the modernization of Ontario’s Air Ambulance system, which culminated in the creation of ORNGE. This transformative project underscored his ability to implement large-scale initiatives while prioritizing public service and innovation.
Beyond his professional roles, Jay has become a respected thought leader and academic contributor. As a McLaughlin Fellow and Researcher at York University, and an executive member of the York Collegium for Public Ethics, he has shared his insights with future public policy leaders. His contributions include acclaimed publications as principal investigator for Dr. Ian Greene, one of Canada’s foremost scholars on public ethics and governance. Known for his unwavering commitment to transparency, ethical accountability, and responsible governance, Jay has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and decision-makers.
