Ministry of Health, in collaboration with
Ontario Health and the
Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, is launching a
Call for Proposals for one-time mental health & addictions funding for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Funding will support the creation of safe spaces for mental health and addictions programming, delivery of traditional healing programs, land-based programming, and appropriate health and safety expenses.
The closing date for the submission of Proposal Forms is December 19, 2022.
This is a Minor Capital Fund from the Ministry of Health
Project Examples
Examples of one-time minor capital expenditures include:
- Creation of safe spaces, including the purchase, delivery and installation of portables, modular spaces, trailers (including those to support MHA and homelessness), yurts, greenhouses, prospector tents, sweat lodges, shelters, etc.
- Cultural supports and supplies to support mental health and crisis response (e.g.,
- medicines, ceremonies, bundles, crafts)
- Supplies to implement land-based activities (e.g., tents, canoes, kayaks, items for trapping, cold weather gear, wood, gas, etc.)
- Health and safety equipment (e.g., life preservers, ice suits, security systems)
- Vehicles for patient and client transportation, and for land-based activities
- Infrastructural upgrades to existing spaces (e.g., technology connectivity)
